Overview

The cabbage soup diet is a controversial approach to weight loss consulting an exclusive consumption of a low-calorie cabbage soup for a period of seven days. Inspiring many imitators similar principles, says that to produce results in weight loss of 10 pounds in a week.

Cabbage soup recipe

6 large onions (green)
2 peppers (green)
1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
3 carrots
1 container (10 ounces orso) Mushrooms
1 bunch of celery
1 / 2 head of cabbage
Soup Mix 1 package (Lipton)
1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
1 48 oz can tomato juice (optional)
With salt, pepper, curry, garlic powder, parsley

The plan

Day One soup and fruits you want except bananas.
Second day of soup and vegetables, including potatoes with a little butter.
Third day-soup and fruit and vegetables, except potatoes and bananas.
Fourth day soup and up to eight bananas and skim milk unlimited.
Day Five-soup and up to 20 ounces of beef and up to six tomatoes.
Soup sixth day and all the meat and vegetables to taste (no potatoes).
Seventh day soup and brown rice, vegetables (excluding potatoes) and unsweetened fruit juices.

Pro

Rapid weight loss: If you go to a wedding or class reunion in the nextWeek or so, and put them in this dress ... might try in order.

Cons

Unsustainable: there is no possibility of maintaining this diet long term rather than term weight loss to long, what we do all this?

Could You Fatter: Research shows that we keep the calories efficiently for times of famine prone. IE is losing 10 pounds this week to win £ 12, but over the next two.

Bottom Line

This is a starvation diet, pure and simple. It could be a few pounds short term, but it will certainly hurt in the long run, and is likely to add pounds off rather than messing with the body's metabolism. What works in the long run is a reasonably balanced diet, based on partial control and moderate exercise.
