Russian Recipes

Russia is home to a variety of recipes. These include farmers, food, dishes from Ottoman and Persian and French influenced cuisine influenced dishes, which was during the czarist period, when the Russian nobility strongly influenced by the culture created in French.

Some of the most popular Russian recipes include:

* Borscht - A vegetable soup made of beets. Cabbage, potatoes or meat can be optionally added.

* Okroshka - a cold soup based kvass (a traditionalRussian) bread, drinks. Meat, fish or vegetables are used for the preparation of soup, and black pepper, mustard and pickles are used to the taste of the dish.

* Schtschi - cabbage soup. Carrots, meat, parsley and spices may be added. Apples, water, cucumber or cream (Smetana) can also be used to flavor the dish.

* Solyanka - a spicy soup with fish, meat or mushrooms. Pickled cucumbers are used in the shell, and, in general, cabbage, cream,Dill and mushrooms.

* Blini - thin pancakes with caviar and sour cream (Smetana) may be exceeded.

* Katlyeti - meatloaves roast beef or pork.

* Student - jellied pork or veal. It can be served cold with garlic and sour cream (Smetana), or as an accompaniment to other dishes.

* Stoganoff Beef - Roast beef in a sauce of sour cream.

* Mashed cut veal Prince Orloff - slices of roast veal with mushrooms and onions between slices. The courtassigned opped with bechamel (white sauce) and cheese, and browned in an oven.

* Charlotte Russe - A sweet made with flavored Bavarian cream (a pudding made with liqueur)) on top of fingers Lady (small biscuits.
